Holiday Shopping in Wilmington NC

Have you finished your Christmas shopping yet?  Have you started?  Well, if you have any shopping to do this holiday season, Mayfaire Town Center near Wrightsville Beach and The Cotton Exchange in Downtown Wilmington are trying to make holiday shopping more fun and exciting.

In addition to festive decorations, Mayfaire Town Center has The Santa Village and Polar Express Train.  Get the kids' photo with Santa (or bring your pets for a photo) and then ride the (little) train around Mayfaire.  Professional photo packages only.  You can get hours, prices, and details here: The Santa Village and Polar Express Train Hours.

Mayfaire offers big brand name and department stores, restaurants (local and chain), and Wilmington's nice movie theater, Regal Cinemas. They also offer Mayfaire Gift Cards that make great teacher gifts.  These can be used at everywhere at Mayfaire except Brixx Wood Fired Pizza, GNC, Mayfaire 16 Regal Theatres & Verizon Wireless.

The Cotton Exchange downtown also has Santa visiting hours where parents can bring their own camera for a snapshot of the kids with Santa.  They will also have Christmas Carols from the New River Harmony Barbershop Chorus on Saturday, Dec. 10.

Shops at the Cotton Exchange are all local businesses and range from clothing to art to kitchen gourmet and more.  There are also a few restaurants, including the critically loved The Basics.

Besides these shopping centers and the Independence Mall, Wilmington offers stores for all kinds of occasions.  Some good ones for the holidays might be: Re-Eco, Protocol, Blue Moon Gifts, Out of Eden Soaps, or Great Outdoor Provisions.  How about gift certificates for yoga, pilates, music lessons, or an excursion on Wilmington Water Tours?

If you like these ideas or have anything you'd like to add, please leave a comment and let us know.  We'll go ahead and include it if possible.

Happy Holiday Shopping!
