New Years Eve Events in Wilmington

New Year's Eve is right around the corner!  What an exciting time of year.  Wilmington is celebrating with a few events for young and old alike:
  1. New Year's Noon - The Children's Museum of Wilmington does it's own kid-friendly version of the midnight countdown.  Instead of counting down to 12 midnight, they celebrate 12 noon.
  2. Island of Lights Countdown - Pleasure Island celebrates the new year with a lighted beach ball drop and fireworks near the Boardwalk Gazebo in Carolina Beach.  Check out the Island of Lights website for more details.
  3. The Full Monty - Thalian Hall and City Stage are helping you ring in the new year with an appropriately raucous production of The Full Monty - live and in the flesh! - on teh Main Stage at Thalian Hall. The New Years Eve Gala begins at 7:00 PM with a buffet, open bar and champagne & party favors. Curtain time is 8:30 PM. Desserts will be served at intermission, and after the show, the party runs until 1:00 AM New Year's morning!
I'm sure I'm missing some great events here. Please leave a comment to let us know what you'll be doing to celebrate New Year's Eve in Wilmington this year!
